Wow your mates with this unique addition to the quiver. With a single concave through the bottom, a squared off, traditional nose and thinned out bottom contour to the rail edge this board will perform in all conditions. You get the same characteristics as a traditional foam body board but all the looks and feel of wood.
The sharper rail edge and flex gives you feel both along and inside the waves. A timber body board is ideal for less advanced surfers, young groms and older surfers who still want to experience that wave riding magic without the pressure on their joints, knees, hips etc. These boards are so addictive because anyone can enjoy them in even the smallest of waves. Immerse yourself in the thrill of the ride whether young or old, male or female, advanced or beginner – it’s a win win all around!
Materials – we use only Australian-grown Paulownia wood for our boards. Paulownia is an incredibly light hardwood with great water and rot-resistant qualities. All boards are handshaped and then sealed with liquid lanolin – straight from the sheep’s back! Lanolin acts as the best water resistant coating you can apply to a wood board as an alternative to glassing. It will keep your board water resistant for months and once it’s in the water it is actually sticky so you don’t need to cover your beautiful wood board with wax. Just unwrap it (recycle the packaging of course) and go surfing!
Recommended for prone riding only.
The standard model is 36″ x 18″ x 3/4″ long but can be modified to suit your needs, just send us an email.
