Materials: Virgin PET (polyethylene) plastic is produced from crude oil by-products. Plastic water bottles are made with PET and inevitably have a short life-cycle and are a major contributor to pollution and the landfill crisis. Recycled PET fabrics reduce the amount of landfill and extend the useful life of the resource. Recycling PET also uses less energy and resources than producing virgin materials. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. It can grow to heights of 25 metres in as little as 60 days. Bamboo can be grown with little water and without pesticides and best of all the fabric which is produced is completely biodegradable.
